This is solid American Walnut Hardwood in an 8″ inch wide plank with tongue & groove milling. The hardwood is kiln dried before milling to allow for proper drying and shrinkage so the end product is stable and sound. The edges are micro-beveled so each plank lines up correctly with the next. The bottoms of the walnut flooring planks have relief grooves cut into them to help prevent cupping and warpage.
