European Naturals
The European Naturals Collection portrays the multifaceted culture of Europe through two distinct wood species. The powerful and strong Oak contains beautiful color contrasts that will enhance the beauty of your home. Additionally, this will create an entirely new and unique environment. The beautiful straight grain of the Oak starts light brown and turns amber over time. Two Oak flooring options are provided in this collection, Oak Sienna and Oak Ardenne. The Oak Sienna flooring possesses several color variations and is very aesthetically pleasing to look at. Similarly, the Oak Ardenne has color variations, but these variations provide much more contrast than the Oak Sienna. This attribute is partially due to the many knots that are in the flooring strips. The second species is the Mountain Maple from the Alps. The European Maple Salzburg is a unique floor that contains slight color changes and provides a very light tone. This quality creates a warm and calm atmosphere for your home.
Kahrs Patented Multi-Layer Flooring Technology
Kahrs prides itself in developing the latest and most innovative flooring technology. Kahrs Original Range of Flooring, which contains the European Naturals Collection, is constructed of three separate layers that have a total thickness of 5/8″. This construction causes the engineered flooring to be more stable than solid floors, especially through humidity changes. This is because the crossed layers counteract the natural movements of the wood. This multi-layer construction also creates a more eco-friendly floor than solid wood because pine and spruce, which are fast growing wood species, are used as the core material. The hardwood surface layer is 1/8″ thick and can be sanded two times, the same number of times you can sand solid wood flooring. This allows the floor to last for generations. The layer below the surface layer consists of pine and spruce core lamellae, as mentioned previously. Finally, the last layer is composed of a Veneer base.
Woodloc®5S = Easy Flooring Installation
For many floors, the installation can be a tedious and time consuming process that might even involve paying a contractor to install it. However, with Kahrs Woodloc®5S Technology, installation is quick and easy! This improved technology was launched in 2010 by Kahrs and is the market leading system. This technology allows the floorboards to be connected mechanically using a floating installation which doesn’t require glue. However, the flooring can be glued down if preferred.
