Santos Mahogany score high on the Janka hardness scale  at 2200. Prefinished solid Santos Mahogany can be nailed down or stapled down and is available in 2 1/4″, 3″, 3 1/4″, 4″ and 5″. Santos Mahogany is known for its beauty and durability. This exotic hardwood has a few other names that it is recognized by: Balsamo, Red Incensio, Cabrueva Vermelha and/or just Cabrueva.

Santos Mahogany is distributed from various different countries such as Paraguay and Peru. Santos Mahogany can be color sensitive and can darken with exposure to light. Moving area rugs to other areas every other month or so is recommended due to this possible color change.
