Description
Rift red oak is a premium flooring product made from red oak lumber that has been cut between 30 and 60 degrees across the growth rings of the red oak log. What this means is that this flooring will be more dimensionally stable and have a significantly more uniform grain than plain sawn red oak flooring.
This 8″ wide plank select and better grade rift red oak flooring is mostly preferred for it’s tight, straight, vertical grain pattern, giving a more formal, even contemporary appeal when compared to typical, plain sawn red oak flooring.
These planks are 3/4″ thick, 8″ wide and range from 15 to 96 inches in length.
Our Select & Better red oak flooring is almost entirely free of knots and other natural imperfections, and will have the most consistent color and grain of all of our red oak flooring products.
