Being Rift &Â Quarter Sawn means that this flooring is more dimensionally stable than plain sawn white oak, because quarter sawn hardwood expands and contracts vertically, instead of horizontally. For that reason, Rift &Â Quarter Sawn flooring will have less inconsistency in plank width, and will not have expansion / contraction issues each season like plain sawn flooring is notorious for having.
Also, Rift &Â Quartersawn White Oak is ideal for application over In-Floor Radiant Heating systems!
Select &Â Better
This Select &Â Better Grade White Oak is the cleanest grade available, free from any significant amount of knots and character flaws.
Other Details:
This hardwood features tongue and groove milling on the sides and ends of each plank. This flooring measures 3/4 inch thick, 4 inches wide and comes in random lengths from 1 to 7 feet long.
