Description
This 3/4″ solid hickory flooring is a 5″ wide plank that comes in super long length boards that are 5 to 12 feet long. This dwarfs the standard hickory floors that you find everywhere else which normally range from only 1 to 7 feet long. These longer lengths make a hardwood floor more beautiful, and these extra long planks are sure to impress!
The hardwood is kiln-dried before milling to ensure milling precision, and stability of the product. The sides of the boards are tongue & groove, and the ends are cut square and will require some end-trimming at the time of installation. This is #2 & Better Grade material, also called Character Grade, which gives the full range of color that Hickory is desired for. All natural characters are included, such as knots, mineral marks, etc… We recommend ordering 10 to 15% overage for this grade which will allow you to cull out imperfections that are not to your taste.
